What they need

About Us

At Pressed Cafe, we believe exceptional food and drink start with quality ingredients and a passion for hospitality. Our all-day menu features Mediterranean-inspired dishes made with fresh, local ingredients, paired with great coffee and fast, friendly service.

Pressed Cafe is an emerging, high-growth premium quick-casual restaurant company with a strong regional presence and exciting expansion plans. With multiple locations today and an aggressive development pipeline, we are building the infrastructure to scale significantly over the next several years. As a founder-led organization, we remain deeply committed to hospitality, culture, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

At the heart of everything we do is our mission: Great People, Great Food, Great Coffee.

About the Role

Pressed Cafe is seeking dependable, hardworking Kitchen Team Members/Production Workers to join our kitchen production team. This is an all-around kitchen role: depending on the day, you may be prepping ingredients, running production, washing and sanitizing equipment, or jumping in wherever the kitchen needs you most.

Our commissary kitchen operates from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM and supports food production for multiple Pressed Cafe locations. Food quality, consistency, and cleanliness are central to everything we do, and this team keeps it all running so our cafes are set up for success every day.

This role is a great fit for someone who takes pride in their work, likes variety, enjoys being part of a team, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. No matter where you start, you’ll have the chance to learn multiple stations and grow your kitchen skills.

What You’ll Do

Food Prep & Production

  • Prepare food and ingredients according to company recipes and production standards
  • Support high-volume production runs, including batching, portioning, and packaging food for our cafes
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and proper portioning at all times
  • Label and date all prepped items to ensure freshness and proper food rotation (FIFO)
  • Learn and maintain complete knowledge of your assigned prep or production station

Dish & Sanitation

  • Wash and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils according to health and safety standards
  • Operate commercial dishwashing machines and perform manual cleaning when needed
  • Sort, stack, and store clean items in their designated locations so prep and production never slow down
  • Monitor dish and cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when inventory is low

Kitchen Support & Cleanliness

  • Keep your workstation clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift
  • Help maintain overall kitchen cleanliness, including sinks, floors, storage areas, trash removal, sweeping, and mopping
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and putting away deliveries as needed
  • Rotate between prep, production, and dish stations based on daily kitchen needs
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures, including HACCP and local health codes
  • Communicate effectively with team members and report any broken equipment or maintenance issues to management
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and uniform standards

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, commissary, or production setting preferred
  • Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation, or a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong commitment to food quality, cleanliness, and kitchen standards
  • Flexibility to move between stations and take on whatever the kitchen needs that day
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to consistently follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Availability to work early morning shifts or night shifts, with flexibility for weekends and holidays as needed
