Kitchen Team Member/Prep Cook

Job Summary

Ode Wellness is a new neighborhood café and wellness destination in NW Portland centered around nourishing food, thoughtful beverages, and genuine connection.

We're building our opening kitchen team and looking for people who enjoy working with fresh ingredients, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of creating something new.

Our menu includes nutrient-dense bowls, smoothie bowls, overnight oats, toast, smoothies, juices, and other thoughtfully prepared offerings.

Responsibilities

• Prep fresh ingredients and components for daily service
• Prepare and assemble menu items according to Ode recipes
• Keep the kitchen clean, stocked, and organized
• Support receiving, storage, and rotation of ingredients
• Work efficiently and collaboratively during busy service
• Support expo, making sure each guest receives a complete and accurate order
• Communicate closely with FOH to keep service moving
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Jump in wherever needed to support the team

Requirements

• Professional kitchen, restaurant, café, catering, or food-prep experience
• Comfortable with food preparation and working in a commercial kitchen
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, personable, and collaborative
• Organized and attentive without getting stuck on perfection
• Flexible and willing to learn
• Reliable and proactive in communicating
• Curious about food, wellness, and what we're creating at Ode
• Weekend availability required
