Kitchen Technician

Job Summary

The Kitchen Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of kitchen equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. The role ensures that all kitchen equipment and related systems are maintained in good working condition and comply with company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, and other kitchen appliances.
• Inspect kitchen equipment regularly to identify potential problems and prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related issues, as qualified and authorized.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.
• Install, test, and commission new kitchen equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, equipment inspections, and spare parts used.
• Coordinate with kitchen operations and other departments to minimize equipment downtime and operational disruptions.
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment complies with applicable safety, sanitation, and operational standards.
• Monitor the condition of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies and report replenishment requirements.
• Follow established safety procedures when handling electrical systems, gas-powered equipment, and other potentially hazardous components.
• Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs when necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a vocational course, technical program, or diploma in Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC), or a related field.
• With at least 1–2 years of relevant experience in kitchen equipment maintenance, hotel maintenance, restaurant equipment servicing, or a similar role; fresh graduates with relevant technical training may also be considered.
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, technical diagrams, and maintenance instructions.
• Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and maintenance documentation.
• Willingness to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, or respond to urgent maintenance concerns when required.

Skills and Competencies

Pay: Php18,000.00 - Php20,000.00 per month
