Kitchenhand / Kitchen Assistant / Cook

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Kitchenhand / Kitchen Assistant / Cook to join our busy kitchen team.

About the role

Working alongside our chefs and kitchen team, your duties will include:

• Assisting with preparation and cooking of meals
• Cooking basic menu items as required
• Preparing ingredients for service
• Assisting chefs during busy lunch and dinner services
• Plating and presenting meals
• Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
• Keeping workstations clean, organised and well stocked
• Assisting with stock rotation and storage
• General kitchen cleaning and other duties as required

About you

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience working in a busy commercial kitchen
• Basic cooking skills and confidence with food preparation
• The ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
• Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• The ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
• Good communication and time-management skills
• Availability to work a flexible roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
