TITLE: Birmingham Kensington Kids Elementary Coordinator

REPORTING: Birmingham Kensington Kids Director

STATUS: Part-Time, Nonexempt; 12 hours

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Provide leadership, coordination, and spiritual development for Kensington Kids ministries through volunteer leadership, programming, and family engagement.

Demonstrate the qualities of a follower of Jesus Christ, with a passion to love God, live in community with those in the body of Christ and extend the love of God to those seeking him. QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education: HS; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2. Experience: Applicable work experience in leading teams of volunteers. Former Administrative experience preferred.

3. Requirements: Membership at Kensington Community Church.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinator Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and shepherd elementary small group leaders.
• Provide curriculum and supplies weekly.
• Support volunteer spiritual growth and accountability.
• Onboard new volunteers and coordinate training.
• Manage weekly communication with leaders.
• Support family events and parent engagement.

Creative Programming Responsibilities

• Recruit and support large group teachers.
• Prepare and distribute lessons and supplies.
• Execute large group programming weekly.
• Monitor effectiveness of environments.

Participate in monthly programming meetings.
