Role Description

I'm currently supporting a global consultancy on the search for a Knowledge Engineer to join an exciting AI-focused programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge enterprise AI initiatives, helping build the knowledge structures that enable intelligent systems to reason across complex business data.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise ontologies and knowledge graphs.
• Create entity hierarchies, relationships and inference rules that support AI-driven decision-making.
• Translate business concepts and data models into machine-readable representations using semantic technologies.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to capture and formalise domain knowledge.
• Collaborate with data modellers and semantic engineers to ensure clear separation between ontologies, semantic data models and knowledge graphs.

Requirements

We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in several of the following:

• Ontology and taxonomy modelling
• RDF and OWL
• Knowledge graph development
• Graph databases (e.g. Neo4j, Stardog, GraphDB or similar)
• Semantic technologies and knowledge representation
• Working with business stakeholders to model complex domains

Nice to have

• Experience within the life sciences or pharmaceutical sector
