Confined Competition: This is a confined competition limited to the Education and Training Candidate Sector Pool i.e., eligible administration & library staff within SETU, Technological Universities, Institutes of Technology and Education & Training Boards at specific grades.

• Salary: The gross salary scale applicable to the grade of Administrative Officer – Grade VII is €61,217- €79,584 p.a. (based on rates effective 01/06/2026)

The Knowledge Transfer Case Officer positions, one specialising in Life Sciences and the other in Manufacturing/Engineering, will work closely with the Head of Innovation & Commercialisation to coordinate, develop, and grow SETU's intellectual property (IP) portfolio within their respective disciplines and across the wider research landscape of the University.

The post holders will actively support knowledge transfer, research impact, and the commercialisation of research outputs, ensuring that success in these areas contributes to the enhancement of SETU's reputation as a leading innovation and research partner. The successful candidates will collaborate closely with the Head of Innovation & Commercialisation, academic staff, researchers, and professional services colleagues across SETU to establish and nurture long-term strategic R&D partnerships with industry and external stakeholders. They will develop, promote, and deliver a broad range of research, innovation, and commercialisation support services to regional enterprise, civic, and community partners, helping to maximise the societal and economic impact of SETU's research and innovation activities.
