Role Description The Komori Machine Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Tanzania, responsible for operating and maintaining Komori printing presses in a fast-paced production environment. Day-to-day tasks include setting up the press, adjusting ink, registration, and paper settings, and monitoring print runs to ensure accurate color, alignment, and quality standards are met. The role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues, and conducting quality checks to reduce waste and improve efficiency. The operator will follow safety and production procedures, coordinate with prepress and finishing teams, and maintain clear records of jobs, materials used, and press performance. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting deadlines while upholding Imaging Smart’s quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating Komori or similar offset printing presses in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of print processes, color matching, ink and paper properties, and press setup and adjustment.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and safe equipment handling.
• Attention to detail, quality control skills, and the ability to identify and correct print defects during runs.
• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple jobs and meet production deadlines.
• Ability to read and follow job tickets, production instructions, and safety guidelines accurately.
• Willingness to work on-site in Tanzania and collaborate effectively with production, prepress, and finishing teams.
• Secondary school education or vocational training in printing, graphics, or related technical field is preferred.
• Commitment to workplace safety, continuous learning, and maintaining a clean and efficient work area.
