Korean Interpreter

About the role

SANGSIN ENERTECH SDN BHD is seeking a skilled Korean Interpreter to join our team in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in facilitating communication between our Korean and English-speaking teams. As a Korean Interpreter, you will be instrumental in bridging language and cultural gaps, ensuring clear and accurate communication across all levels of the organisation. This role is essential to our operations within the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector, where precise communication directly impacts project success, safety, and operational efficiency. This position is based on-site in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional interpretation services between Korean and English during meetings, conferences, and negotiations
• Interpret technical documentation, manuals, and specifications related to manufacturing and logistics operations
• Facilitate communication between Korean management, engineers, and their English-speaking counterparts
• Assist in translating written communications, emails, and reports to ensure clarity and accuracy
• Support the onboarding and training of Korean staff members and contractors
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive business information
• Accompany Korean visitors, clients, and business partners during facility tours and business discussions
• Relay cultural nuances and context to ensure effective understanding between parties
• Participate in safety briefings and ensure Korean speakers fully understand critical operational procedures

What we're looking for

• Fluent proficiency in both Korean and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience as an interpreter or translator in a professional or industrial setting
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, logistics, or engineering terminology in both languages
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to facilitate effective cross-cultural communication
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple interpretation assignments simultaneously
• Professional demeanour and reliability with a strong track record of punctuality
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Preferably, experience working in the manufacturing or logistics industry
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations would be advantageous
