KS4 Maths & Science Tutor

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS4 Tutor to inspire and support students in achieving their academic goals. In this role, you will deliver engaging, tailored lessons to students in Key Stage 4 (ages 14-16), focusing on core subjects such as Mathematics and Science, or other specialised areas. Responsibilities

• Deliver dynamic, personalized tutoring sessions that align with curriculum standards and individual student needs
• Assess students’ strengths and areas for improvement through regular evaluations and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
• Support students in developing effective study habits, exam techniques, and critical thinking skills
• Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and school staff regarding progress and areas for development
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and confidence-building
• Track student progress meticulously, documenting achievements and challenges to inform future sessions
• Stay informed about curriculum updates and best practices in tutoring and special education to enhance your teaching approach

Experience

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching within a school or educational setting, preferably with KS4 students
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and young people from diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication skills to clearly convey concepts and motivate learners
• Familiarity with curriculum standards for Key Stage 4 subjects and assessment methods
• A proactive attitude with the ability to adapt lessons based on individual student requirements

Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 3.0 per week
