Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Linux administration, Ansible automation, and Kubernetes platform engineering. The role involves migrating standalone containerized applications to production-grade Kubernetes clusters, standardizing deployments, and building reliable, scalable infrastructure through automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Kubernetes Migration: Migrate persistent data services and stateless/ephemeral applications from standalone containers to Kubernetes.
• Linux Administration: Manage bare-metal and virtualized Linux infrastructure, troubleshoot OS-level issues, and optimize system performance using command-line tools.
• Ansible Automation: Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management, provisioning, and infrastructure consistency.
• Platform Engineering: Create and maintain standardized Helm charts, deployment templates, and GitOps-based CI/CD workflows.
• Infrastructure as Code: Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration; experience with Terraform is an added advantage.
• Monitoring & Logging: Implement and maintain end-to-end observability, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting solutions.
• Service Migration: Collaborate with application teams to plan, execute, validate, and optimize Kubernetes migrations.
• Platform Reliability: Troubleshoot Kubernetes networking, storage, resource allocation, and application lifecycle issues.

Required Technical Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps, Linux administration, or platform engineering experience.
• Strong experience managing bare-metal or on-premises virtualized infrastructure.
• Advanced Linux CLI skills, including OS troubleshooting, shell scripting, and performance analysis.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes architecture, workloads, networking, storage classes, and lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with Docker/container runtimes and migrating containerized workloads to Kubernetes.
• Strong Ansible expertise, including playbooks, roles, inventory management, and configuration automation.
• Experience with Helm charts and GitOps tools/workflows.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Good to Have

• Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Experience with production-grade on-premises Kubernetes deployments.
• Experience migrating stateful applications and persistent data services.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes cluster upgrades, backup, recovery, and security best practices.
