KYC Analyst – Onboarding Operations

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced KYC Analyst to join Airwallex's Onboarding Operations team in Southeast Asia.

This role focuses on Know Your Customer (KYC), Client Due Diligence (CDD), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end customer onboarding, review customer profiles and documentation, assess potential financial crime risks, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Client Due Diligence (CDD) to assess customer profiles and identify potential financial crime risks.
• Manage the end-to-end KYC process for new customer accounts.
• Review customer information and supporting documents to ensure compliance with established requirements.
• Conduct periodic KYC reviews of existing clients and escalate potential risks or discrepancies when necessary.
• Ensure adherence to local and global AML/CFT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the Compliance Team to support compliant and efficient onboarding operations.
• Communicate KYC requirements clearly to internal and external stakeholders in Mandarin and English.
• Support periodic reviews, audits, and compliance-related activities.
• Stay updated on AML-related news and emerging regulatory developments.
• Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance the efficiency and quality of KYC reviews and onboarding workflows.

Job Requirements

• Approximately 3 years of relevant experience in KYC, AML, CDD, client onboarding, or financial crime compliance.
• Good understanding of KYC and AML/CFT requirements.
• Proficient in both written and spoken Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess customer risk and identify discrepancies.
• Excellent attention to detail and sound judgment when handling compliance cases.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as well as within a team.
• A process-driven mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for workflow improvement.
• Experience in a global or dynamic working environment is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI tools for improving operational efficiency is an advantage.

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
