L1 Cloud Operations Engineer (AWS)

We're Hiring | L1 Cloud Operations Engineer (AWS) – Remote | LATAM

At Tenarai , we're looking for an L1 Cloud Operations Engineer to join one of our global technology teams and support the day-to-day monitoring, stability, and operation of AWS cloud environments.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in AWS, Linux, and cloud operations who wants to continue developing their career in a global environment.

What you'll do

• Monitor AWS infrastructure using CloudWatch and other monitoring tools.
• Handle cloud alerts and perform initial incident triage.
• Troubleshoot L1 issues across EC2, EBS, S3, ELB, IAM, and networking .
• Execute established SOPs and operational runbooks.
• Monitor backups, scheduled jobs, and infrastructure health.
• Perform user access management through AWS IAM.
• Create and manage incident tickets and maintain operational documentation.
• Escalate unresolved or complex incidents to L2 support teams.
• Support shift-based operations and participate in on-call activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure reliable cloud operations.

What we're looking for

• Good understanding of AWS fundamentals .
• Hands-on knowledge of EC2, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch .
• Basic Linux administration skills.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Basic Shell Scripting knowledge.
• Familiarity with incident management and troubleshooting processes.
• Experience with ticketing/incident management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira .
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a distributed team.
• Availability to support shift-based operations and on-call activities.
