About the Role

TLS IT Solutions DMCC is looking for a motivated and technically skilled L1 Network Support Engineer to join a three-year networking project in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network monitoring, first-level troubleshooting, and technical support within a UAE-based IT services, telecommunications, or enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure, connectivity, and system alerts to identify and respond to incidents.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting for LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, and basic routing issues.
• Support routers, switches, wireless access points, and other network infrastructure devices.
• Perform initial fault diagnosis and escalate complex incidents to L2 and L3 engineering teams.
• Assist with network device installation, configuration, maintenance, and connectivity testing.
• Use network monitoring and ticketing systems to track incidents and service requests.
• Maintain accurate incident logs, technical reports, network diagrams, and support documentation.
• Follow established escalation procedures, change management processes, and SLA requirements.
• Coordinate with technical teams and service providers to ensure timely incident resolution.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• CCNA certification.
• 1–3 years of relevant hands-on network support experience.
• Previous UAE work experience in an IT services company, system integrator, telecommunications company, or enterprise IT environment.
• Good understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and IT service management ticketing systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, project-based environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Malaysia for the full three-year contract, subject to applicable work authorization.
