L17 - Project Engineer - Power BI

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Develop automated data pipelines using Python and Databricks.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and integration from multiple data sources.
• Create scalable data models, DAX measures, and reporting solutions.
• Automate recurring reports and manual data processing activities.
• Support advanced analytics, trend analysis, and KPI reporting.
• Improve report performance, usability, and data refresh processes.
• Develop reusable scripts and workflows to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Collaborate with business teams to translate reporting requirements into technical solutions.
• Support cloud-based data platforms and data governance initiatives.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI and related data analytics/reporting technologies.
• Strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
• Proficient in creating complex data models, DAX measures, calculated columns, and Power Query transformations.
• Hands-on experience with Python for data processing, automation, and reporting workflows.
• Experience working with Databricks and building automated ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and integration techniques.
• Experience working with relational databases and writing advanced SQL queries.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, or similar technologies.
• Experience in automating recurring reports and optimizing manual reporting processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform trend analysis, KPI tracking, and business performance reporting.
• Experience in report performance tuning, data refresh optimization, and troubleshooting data issues.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL-300) is an added advantage.
