L2 Data Center Technician (Tech 3)

Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a L2 Data Center Technician (Tech 3). The contract is 9 months, with potential for extension or conversion. This is a first shift schedule. Hiring Locations (1 opening per location):

• Council Bluffs, IA; Lincoln, NE; Kansas City, MO; St. Louis, MO; New Albany/Columbus, OH; Henderson/Las Vegas, NV; Phoenix, AZ; Midlothian/Dallas, TX; Pryor Creek/Tulsa, OK; Sparks/Reno, NV; Los Angeles, CA; San Jose, CA; Seattle, WA

Key Tasks

• Troubleshooting fiber optic cabling, connectivity issues, and physical layer problems
• Responding to operational tickets and performing break/fix support
• Installing, terminating, and troubleshooting fiber infrastructure
• Performing structured cabling installations and infrastructure deployments
• Racking, stacking, and installing servers/network equipment
• Supporting data center moves, adds, and changes
• Documenting ticket resolutions and collaborating with QA Leads
• Working independently in active production data center environments

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on data center experience
• Strong fiber optic troubleshooting skills
• Structured cabling installation and troubleshooting
• Rack-and-stack experience with data center infrastructure
• Production data center break/fix support
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal supervision
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
