Role Summary:
Responsible for systems engineering, design, development, and optimization of 4G/5G L2 layers (MAC/RLC/PDCP). Involves coding, debugging, and delivering high-performance base station solutions, with a focus on protocol implementation and system integration.

What Youll Do:

• Design, develop, optimize, and debug MAC scheduling algorithms for LTE (eNB) and 5G (gNB)
• Engineer and implement MAC, RLC, PDCP for LTE and NR, including segmentation/reassembly, retransmission, flow control, and QoS
• Drive large-scale 4G/5G L2 product development, sustenance, and customer support for eNodeBs/gNodeBs across diverse platforms (including vRAN/ORAN/custom)
• Review and mentor L1 teams on PDCP/RLC/MAC layer development and integration with L1/L3/OAM
• Communicate effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders

What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):

• Relevant experience in RAN, L2 Layer, MAC/RLC, and C++
• Expertise in 3GPP specifications
• Proficiency in C/C++/Python programming, state machine design, error handling, and protocol decode workflows
• Experience with MAC scheduling algorithms, L2 interfaces, and system-level optimization (latency, throughput, fairness, DRX, power-saving)
• Capability in log analysis and diagnosing issues using system logs
• Familiarity with specialized tools such as QCAT, Viavi, IxLoad Wireless, IxNetwork, Spirent Landslide, Wireshark
• Understanding of FPGA/SoC-based radio acceleration, DPDK, Linux performance tuning, and deployment on x86/ARM platforms
• Experience driving delivery of 4G/5G L2 programs

Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):

• Experience with Google Test Framework (GTF)
