About the Role

TLS IT Solutions DMCC is seeking an experienced L2 Network Engineer to support enterprise network operations, implementation, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting for a three-year project in Malaysia.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience managing enterprise networking infrastructure, resolving escalated incidents, and implementing network changes in a professional UAE IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and network infrastructure.
• Resolve escalated incidents involving routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, IP connectivity, and network performance.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP, and switching technologies such as STP.
• Support enterprise firewalls, secure remote access, network segmentation, and connectivity solutions.
• Perform network installations, upgrades, migrations, configuration changes, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to maintain agreed service levels.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring incidents.
• Support network security improvements, configuration backups, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, technical reports, and change management documentation.
• Coordinate with L1 support teams, senior engineers, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of incidents.
• Participate in planned maintenance activities and provide technical support during critical changes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• CCNP certification.
• 4–7 years of relevant network engineering experience.
• Previous UAE work experience in enterprise networking, telecommunications, IT services, or system integration.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience working with enterprise networking equipment, preferably Cisco or equivalent platforms.
• Practical experience with network monitoring, incident management, and change management procedures.
• Exposure to enterprise firewalls, SD-WAN, network security, and high-availability solutions is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Malaysia for the full three-year contract, subject to applicable work authorization.
