Senior BI Developer / Data Engineer – SAP & Databricks

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior BI Developer / Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, and enterprise data platforms.

The role will be responsible for developing and supporting BI reports, dashboards, data pipelines, and analytics solutions while working closely with data, IT, and business teams. The position involves both development and production support, including troubleshooting data and system issues and performing root cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in SAP, Databricks, or both
• Strong experience working in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics environments
• Strong SQL development skills and experience with SQL-based databases such as Microsoft SQL Server/SSMS or similar platforms
• Experience with Databricks and Python for data processing and analytics
• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or similar data integration and orchestration tools
• Experience developing and supporting BI reports and dashboards using SAP BusinessObjects, Qlik, or similar enterprise BI tools
• Experience analyzing, transforming, validating, and reconciling large datasets
• Understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling and star schema
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
• Experience integrating data between enterprise systems and analytics platforms
• Experience troubleshooting data quality issues, performance problems, and reporting discrepancies
• Experience supporting BI platforms or other enterprise production environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to business and technical stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively with data engineers, analysts, business users, and other cross-functional teams
• Willingness to work across both development and production support activities

Reporting & SAP BusinessObjects

• Experience developing reports using SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence (WebI) or similar enterprise reporting platforms
• Experience with Universe design and semantic layers
• Experience using Information Design Tool (IDT) or similar tools
• Familiarity with Central Management Console (CMC) or equivalent BI platform administration tools
• Experience supporting enterprise BI production environments

Data Engineering & Integration

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
• Build and support data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF) or similar tools
• Work with enterprise systems and analytics platforms to support data integration requirements
• Apply data modeling best practices to support reporting and analytics requirements
• Investigate and resolve data quality, performance, and reporting issues

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP BW / BW on HANA (BW/4HANA) data modeling or reporting
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or contributing to technical knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Experience with BI platform administration and enterprise production support

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
• Work with Databricks and Python for data processing and analytics
• Develop and maintain BI solutions using SAP BusinessObjects, Qlik, or similar platforms
• Design and maintain semantic layers, universes, and metadata models
• Support BI environments and related platform administration activities
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
• Build and support data integration workflows using ADF or similar orchestration tools
• Analyze, transform, validate, and reconcile large datasets to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Troubleshoot data quality issues, reporting discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks
• Provide production support for BI platforms, reporting solutions, and data pipelines
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions for recurring issues
• Participate in technical discussions, troubleshooting sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, business users, and IT teams
• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and best practices
• Mentor junior team members when needed
• Support incident management, issue resolution, and ongoing optimization of BI and analytics environments

Pay: Up to Php40,000.00 per month
