Senior L3 Infrastructure Support Engineer

This is a senior operational support role responsible for maintaining a large-scale private cloud and datacentre environment.

The successful candidate will act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents, providing advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, platform support, automation, and continuous service improvement across critical enterprise systems.

What They Will Be Doing

• Providing 3rd Line support for critical infrastructure platforms.
• Acting as the highest technical escalation point for complex incidents.
• Performing root cause analysis and problem management.
• Supporting compute, storage, networking, and cloud platforms.
• Managing platform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle activities.
• Monitoring platform capacity, availability, and performance.
• Automating operational tasks and improving service efficiency.
• Collaborating with engineering, DevOps, and application teams.
• Maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Supporting major incidents and recovery activities.

Essential Experience

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Previous experience working within an L3 / 3rd Line Support function.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution skills.
• Experience supporting private cloud or datacentre platforms.
• Good understanding of virtualisation technologies.
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms.
• Experience supporting software-defined networking environments.
• Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows Server administration.
• Experience working within ITIL-based operational environments.
