Lab Asisstant/ Junior Perfumer

About the role

This role involves assisting with perfume formulation and fragrance development in a laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with perfume formulation and fragrance development
• Accurately weigh and measure fragrance oils, aroma chemicals, solvents, and other materials according to formulation requirements
• Prepare fragrance compounds, dilutions, and samples for evaluation
• Follow proper procedures for handling, mixing, labeling, storing, and documenting fragrance materials
• Maintain accurate records of formulas, batch numbers, raw materials, and samples
• Conduct basic fragrance evaluation and record observations such as scent profile, strength, balance, and longevity
• Assist in making adjustments to formulas based on evaluation results
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the fragrance laboratory
• Support with sample preparation, testing, and other fragrance development activities

About you

• Basic knowledge of perfumery and fragrance formulation
• Understanding of common fragrance materials and basic aroma chemicals
• Familiarity with weighing, dilution, compounding, and sample preparation
• Understanding of proper handling and storage of fragrance materials
• Good attention to detail, especially when working with small quantities and precise measurements
• Able to follow formulas, procedures, and laboratory instructions accurately
• Organized, clean, and responsible when working in a laboratory environment
• Willing to learn and develop further knowledge in perfumery
• Previous experience in a fragrance laboratory, perfume manufacturing, cosmetics, or related industry is preferred
