Job Description Laboratory Assistant | The Green Acres Academy, Kalyan

Working Days: 5 days a week
Working Hours: 7:45 AM 4:15 PM

Job Purpose: To support the smooth functioning of the school science laboratories by preparing materials for practical sessions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring laboratory safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in preparing and setting up laboratory equipment and materials for practical sessions.
• Maintain, organise, and monitor laboratory equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of laboratory materials as per safety guidelines.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and records of equipment and consumables.
• Keep the laboratory clean, organised, and safe for students and staff.
• Report damaged equipment, shortages, and maintenance requirements promptly.
• Support teachers during practical sessions and ensure adherence to laboratory safety procedures.

Educational Qualification: B.Sc. in a relevant science subject.

Experience: Freshers can apply; no prior experience required.

Skills: Basic scientific knowledge, organisational skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and awareness of laboratory safety practices.
