Lab Assistant / Laboratory Support Assistant

Job Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of the laboratory
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, workstations and assigned work areas
• Prepare equipment and materials for laboratory activities
• Assist with basic handling, movement and labelling of non-hazardous samples
• Perform basic recording and monitoring duties as required
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards within the laboratory environment
• Follow established work procedures, hygiene and safety requirements
• Assist with other general laboratory support duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum secondary education; Nitec/Higher Nitec or equivalent qualifications are welcome
• Prior experience in laboratory, cleanroom, production, manufacturing or controlled environments will be advantageous
• Candidates without prior laboratory experience may also be considered
• Comfortable working in a laboratory environment and handling non-hazardous samples
• Able to follow SOPs and work instructions carefully
• Detail-oriented with good hygiene and housekeeping practices
• Reliable with good attendance and a responsible attitude
• Able to commit to the required work schedule
