Lab Assistant - Physics

Job Summary:

The Lab Assistant - Physics will support the effective functioning of the physics laboratory by assisting faculty and students during practical sessions, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring a safe and organized lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist faculty members during laboratory sessions and practical classes
• Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials in advance
• Ensure proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of lab instruments
• Maintain stock registers, lab records, and inventory of equipment and consumables
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and discipline within the laboratory
• Provide basic guidance to students during experiments, if required
• Report any damage, malfunction, or shortage of equipment to the concerned authority
• Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols and guidelines

Eligibility Criteria:

• Diploma / B.Sc. in Physics or a related field
• 0-5 years experience
• Prior experience in handling laboratory equipment is preferred
• Basic knowledge of physics experiments and lab procedures
• Good organizational and communication skills
