Lab Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the Material Science Laboratory in all technical aspects related to cleanliness testing technique/equipment, Chemical Analysis, and Material Properties characterization. Also involved in project development in collaboration with the Engineering team. Additionally, responsible for Product Environmental Management and ensuring compliance with system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and support the activities within the Material Science Laboratory.
• Set up, maintain, and improve analytical equipment (FTIR, IC, LPC, GC/MS, UV-visible spectrophotometer, SEM/EDX, Humidity chamber, and Grinder & Polisher m/c).
• Coordinate with the customer laboratories for cleanliness test equipment correlation and performance validation.
• Provide Technical training to lab staff.
• Ensure all analytical equipment is well-maintained, calibrated, and ready for both routine and urgent testing needs.
• Collaborate with other departments to support customer requirements, particularly in cleanliness testing, failure analysis, and related areas.
• Coordinate with external laboratories (local and international) for tests that cannot be conducted in-house.
• Oversee Product Environmental Management in alignment with HQ standards and requirements.
• Prepare and conduct regular equipment and method correlation with customers and suppliers (every 6 months or annually).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Faculty of Science or Engineer (any field).

Skill Required:

• Fluency in speaking and writing English.
• Knowledge of material science and chemical field

Experience: 1-2 years.
