About Serova

Serova builds personalized cancer vaccines. Each vaccine is made for the individual patient from their own samples and given in partnership with their treating physician.

The role

This is a classic lab manager role. You'll order reagents, keep inventory, handle the admin and forms, pay suppliers, and keep equipment serviced and the lab safe, so our scientists can focus on science.

• A highly organized operator who knows how a lab runs
• You spot what's about to run out or break before it does
• You get the paperwork done without being chased
• High agency, friendly and low ego

Requirements

• 2+ years as a lab manager, lab coordinator or lab operations lead in a life sciences lab
• Working knowledge of biosafety and the rules for storing human samples
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, or willing to relocate
• Authorized to work in the US, or a realistic path to get there

What will make you stand out

• You've been the person who keeps a small startup lab running
• Purchasing and vendors: purchase orders, supplier accounts, budgets and invoices
• You've set up or moved a lab from scratch
• You build simple systems for inventory and ordering that others use
• Clinical samples: chain of custody, freezer management, CLIA requirements
• A bench background, so you understand what scientists need
