Lab Specimen Collector

Northwest Labs/RSL Medical Marketing is seeking a dependable specimen collector to join the team at a clinic in Datroit, MI. You will be responsible for preparing toxicology specimens for medical testing, and ensuring accurate documentation of all procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, and compassionate demeanor, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Hours:

Mon-Fri: 8:30am-5pm

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Label and prepare toxicology specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols.
• Verify patient information and maintain accurate records of procedures performed.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the tox collection process.
• Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and sterile work environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate specimen collection and processing.
• Pre-screen patients, collect and process genetic testing samples

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen labeling and documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic laboratory procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
