Lab Supervisor – Ready Mix Concrete

looking for an experienced Lab Supervisor to join our ready-mix concrete plant in Jebel Ali, Dubai.

The Lab Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily laboratory activities, concrete testing, quality control, sampling, cube testing and maintaining laboratory records in accordance with company procedures and applicable Dubai Municipality and concrete quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the concrete laboratory.
• Conduct and supervise fresh and hardened concrete testing.
• Carry out slump, temperature, density and other required concrete tests.
• Supervise concrete cube casting, curing and compressive-strength testing.
• Ensure proper sampling and identification of concrete samples.
• Monitor quality of cement, aggregates, GGBS, admixtures and other raw materials.
• Assist with concrete mix designs and trial mixes.
• Monitor concrete production and ensure compliance with approved mix designs.
• Maintain laboratory testing records, reports and documentation.
• Maintain cube test results and strength reports.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Coordinate with the Lab Engineer, Production Team, Site Supervisors and Dispatch Team.
• Report any concrete quality issues immediately to the Lab Engineer/QC Manager.
• Assist with investigation of failed or low-strength concrete results.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards inside the laboratory.
• Supervise laboratory technicians and allocate daily testing responsibilities.
• Assist during Dubai Municipality inspections, consultant inspections and client audits.
• Ensure all laboratory records are properly filed and updated.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Concrete Technology or related field.
• Dubai Municipality-approved/certified qualification is preferred/required, depending on the applicable position requirements.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in ready-mix concrete laboratory operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of concrete testing and quality control.
• Experience with cube testing, slump testing, raw material testing and concrete sampling.
• Knowledge of ASTM / BS / EN concrete testing standards.
• Experience working in a ready-mix concrete plant in the UAE is preferred.
• Good knowledge of laboratory documentation and reporting.
• Good MS Excel and computer skills.
• Ability to supervise laboratory technicians and manage daily testing activities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Immediate joiners or candidates on short notice are preferred.

Pay: AED2,641.25 - AED4,000.00 per month

License/Certification:

• Dubai Municipality Certificate (Required)
