Lab Technician

· Routine cleaning and maintenance of lab instruments with the help of lab assistant/lab attendant.

· Keeping a close watch on work carried out by lab assistant and attendant.

· Organize work by matching computer orders with specimen labeling; sorting specimens; checking labeling; logging specimens.

· Perform laboratory tests including pre- and post-analytic phases according to standard guidelines.

· Prepare samples/specimens according to test guidelines

· Perform the manual tests as per the guidelines

· Adhere to correct procedures, policies and health/safety guidelines

· Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitoring quality control measures and protocols and report any deviation to in-charge technician.

· Participate and assist in staff training.

· Identify and communicate abnormal and critical value patient reports to in-charge lab technician and pathologist.

· Assist in inventory management of the section allocated.

· Ensure Preparation of reagents and solution for lab use.

· Training of new technical staff.

· Keep a close watch on healthy performance of all the instruments. To report any malfunctioning of instrument to the lab in-charge and in the absence of lab in-charge, to biomedical engineering department representative and follow it up till its resolution.

· Maintain proper storage and timely disposal of samples.

· Document all activities, record results and insert/retrieve data

· Maintain work area and equipment clean and orderly.

· Perform emergency duties as per duty rotation.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
