Lab Technician

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for building samples and performing tests on prototypes, cells, and finished products. Includes Incoming and Work-in-Process testing and RMA failure analysis.

This position is open due to an internal promotion, providing an opportunity to join a growing team and take on an important role within the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Build prototypes and perform electrical and mechanical testing on battery cells and packs.

2. Operate battery testing equipment and follow established test procedures.

3. Test batteries, chargers, and other electrical products; document results and prepare clear test reports.

4. Ensure testing equipment is properly maintained, functioning, and calibrated.

5. Assist with building and testing LDO, Gas Gauge, circuit boards, and other prototype assemblies.

6. Review prototype requirements and assist with sample builds.

7. Create charts and graphs to clearly present test results.

8. Analyze returned products, identify potential issues, and document findings.

9. Assemble printed circuit boards for production according to customer specifications.

10. Participate in department meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associate degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or three to five years of experience in electrical system or product design.

2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

3. Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office.

4. Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
