Job Summary
The Lab Technician is responsible for supporting laboratory operations by preparing equipment, assisting faculty and students during practical sessions, maintaining lab instruments, and ensuring safety and compliance within the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory equipment, materials, and instruments before practical sessions
- Assist faculty during lab classes, experiments, and demonstrations
- Ensure availability of required tools, chemicals, and components
- Maintain, clean, and calibrate lab instruments and machinery
- Coordinate with vendors/service providers for major repairs
- Maintain stock registers for equipment, consumables, and tools
- Ensure proper storage and handling of lab items
- Ensure adherence to lab safety standards and procedures
- Assist in maintaining audit and inspection documents (NAAC/NBA, etc.)
- Guide students in handling equipment safely
Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (Any Science graduate)
- 2 - 3 years of experience in a laboratory environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
