Lab Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and qualified Laboratory Technician to join our diagnostic lab team. You will be responsible for preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, performing diagnostic tests, and delivering accurate lab results to assist medical staff in patient care and diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities

• Sample Handling: Collect, receive, label, and process biological samples (blood, tissue, fluids) in compliance with safety and hygiene protocols.
• Laboratory Testing: Perform routine and complex diagnostic tests across hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and pathology using automated and manual testing methods.
• Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate, clean, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and diagnostic analyzers.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure strict quality control standard procedures, verify test accuracy, and record results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Inventory Management: Monitor supply and reagent levels, report shortages, and maintain proper storage conditions for test kits and chemical supplies.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow biosafety guidelines, infection control regulations, and chemical handling protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / BMLT) or relevant biological science field.
• Experience: 0–3 years of hands-on experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory environment (freshers with strong clinical internship background welcome).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with automated clinical analyzers, microscopic examination, and lab safety protocols.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational ability, and basic computer skills for LIS entry.
