Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Lab Technician to join our botanical extraction laboratory. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting high-volume production processes, conducting testing, and ensuring quality control in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in basic math, mechanical knowledge, and experience working with solvents and temperature-controlled equipment. Your critical thinking skills and familiarity with basic chemistry will be essential to maintaining safety and efficiency in our lab operations.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and processing of botanical extracts using solvents, heating, and chilling units
• Conduct routine testing to monitor product quality and ensure compliance with standards such as Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including heating and chilling units, ensuring proper calibration and safety procedures
• Support high-volume production workflows by managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy
• Perform basic math calculations related to measurements, dilutions, and formulation adjustments
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with lab equipment using mechanical knowledge to minimize downtime
• Follow safety protocols diligently when handling chemicals, solvents, and temperature-sensitive devices
• Document test results, procedures, and observations accurately for quality assurance purposes

Experience

• Prior experience in a high-volume production environment is preferred
• Mechanical knowledge related to laboratory equipment operation and maintenance is highly desirable
• Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and data recording
• Experience working with solvents, heating/chilling units, or in a chemistry-related setting is advantageous
• Strong critical thinking skills to analyze data and troubleshoot operational issues effectively
• Willing to train inexperienced candidates who are eager and interested

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
