Lab Technician

Job Type: Full-time, on-site
Shift: 10 hours per day
Weekly Off: 1 day off per week, to be taken on a weekday (Monday to Friday)
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Lab Technician to run our in-house diagnostic laboratory. You will collect and test samples from animal patients and give accurate, timely reports to our veterinary doctors.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, label, and handle blood, urine, stool, and other samples from animal patients
• Perform haematology, biochemistry, urinalysis, and other routine and emergency lab tests
• Operate and maintain lab equipment such as analyzers, microscope, and centrifuge
• Prepare and verify test reports and share them with doctors on time
• Maintain proper records of samples, test results, and reagent stock
• Follow biosafety, hygiene, and waste disposal protocols
• Keep inventory of reagents and consumables, and inform management when stock is low
• Coordinate with external labs for outsourced tests, if required
• Handle animals gently and safely during sample collection, with help from the clinic team

Required Qualifications and Skills

• DMLT / BMLT / B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (or equivalent)
• 1 to 3 years of lab experience (veterinary experience preferred; freshers with strong skills may apply)
• Knowledge of haematology and clinical biochemistry analyzers
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
• Basic computer knowledge for reports and records
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency samples
• Love and compassion for animals
