Training: Mon-Fri 7 PM - 3:30 AM; will move to posted schedule after training, Full-time, Contract, Scientific

Position Overview

Join our client’s dynamic toxicology laboratory as a Junior Lab Technician. In this vital role, you will operate advanced analytical instruments to perform confirmatory testing in a regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a background in biology or chemistry to gain hands-on experience in a high-impact laboratory setting.

You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of test results, following strict regulatory guidelines. The position offers a structured training period and the chance to contribute to essential quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) and LC-MS/MS instruments for confirmatory testing
• Perform testing in accordance with SAMHSA mandatory guidelines and other regulatory requirements
• Conduct quality control (QC) duties as assigned
• Review and interpret test results for accuracy and compliance

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field
• Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and procedures

Preferred:

• Experience operating GC/MS and LC-MS/MS instruments
• Knowledge of SAMHSA or other regulatory guidelines

Work Schedule

Initial training is scheduled for Monday through Friday, 7 PM to 3:30 AM. Upon completion of training, you will transition to the standard posted schedule. Overtime is paid at time and a half for hours over 40 per week.
