A leading international law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Labor & Employment practice in Washington, DC.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment litigator to join a sophisticated practice combining contentious employment matters with strategic workplace counseling. The role will involve representing employers in labor and employment disputes while advising clients on a broad range of complex workforce issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle sophisticated labor and employment litigation
• Advise employers on federal and state labor and employment laws
• Counsel clients on wage and hour compliance
• Advise on employee relations and workplace risk mitigation
• Draft and advise on employment agreements
• Counsel employers on reductions in force
• Advise on ADA compliance and workplace accommodations
• Review and develop employment-related policies
• Conduct complex legal research and draft substantive legal documents
• Provide strategic advice on sensitive workplace matters

Who You Are

• Mid-level Associate with meaningful labor and employment litigation experience
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
• Experience advising employers on workplace law issues
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Stellar academic credentials
• Able to combine litigation experience with practical employment counseling
• Strong analytical and client-service skills
• Comfortable taking responsibility for sophisticated matters
