Labor & Employment Litigation Associate

Position Overview

Join a high-performing labor and employment practice where you'll take ownership of sophisticated litigation matters and gain meaningful hands-on experience representing employers in complex workplace disputes. This opportunity offers the ability to manage cases from start to finish while working on high-stakes wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and PAGA matters. You'll work with a diverse employer clientele in a collaborative and fast-paced environment that provides substantial responsibility and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent employers in employment litigation matters involving wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and related workplace disputes.
• Manage cases through all phases of litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery, preparing pleadings, conducting depositions, and handling case strategy.
• Prepare, oppose, and argue motions in state and federal court proceedings.
• Defend employers in California wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative actions.
• Work closely with attorneys and employers on litigation strategy, case management, and dispute resolution.

Qualifications / Nice to Have

Must Have

• 4+ years of employment litigation experience.
• Experience representing employers in labor and employment matters.
• Experience drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings.
• Experience preparing and arguing motions.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Active California Bar admission.
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Nice to Have

• Experience with California wage and hour class actions.
• Experience with PAGA representative actions.
• Experience independently managing litigation matters from inception through resolution.
