Labor Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Labor Assistant to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will support production operations by assisting with assembly, material handling, and equipment setup. Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to meet production specifications.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials within the facility.
• Interpret technical drawings, manufacturing documents, and process instructions to support assembly line activities.
• Perform manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times.
• Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions to enhance productivity.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities and document inspection results in accordance with manufacturing standards.
• Collaborate with team members managing production or assembly lines to meet daily targets efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven factory or manufacturing facility experience, with familiarity in assembly line operations preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge and experience working with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments and commitment to safety protocol adherence.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documents accurately.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques is a plus.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $25.22 - $30.37 per hour
