We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction LABOR COMPLIANCE and PAYROLL ASSOCIATE with proven track record

This role encompasses all aspects of labor compliance and payroll — ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and efficiently using payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, and other supported platforms.
• Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws by reviewing policies and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements.
• Manage data entry related to employee hours, wages, benefits, and tax information within HRIS and payroll software.
• Reconcile payroll accounts through detailed analysis of general ledger entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation procedures.
• Prepare journal entries for payroll transactions while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
• Conduct audits of time & attendance systems and payroll systems to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with finance teams on governmental accounting requirements, payroll tax filings, and reporting obligations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of labor compliance and certified payroll reporting experience in construction industry for Davis Bacon, State, and PLA projects.
• Proven experience with payroll management using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex or equivalent HRIS platforms.
• Strong understanding of employment & labor law, payroll tax regulations, and financial concepts related to payroll processing.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), accounting software (QuickBooks or similar), financial analysis tools, and Teams.
• Knowledge of time & attendance systems like Kronos or UltiPro for tracking employee hours accurately.
• Experience handling confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to perform account reconciliation, analyze financial data, and execute journal entries with precision.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping.
• Experience with DIR information and DAS forms for PLA projects.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
