Position Overview

Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 3 to 4 years of experience to join its Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for an employment litigator seeking sophisticated employer-side representation involving single-plaintiff litigation, class actions, collective actions, and complex workplace disputes.

The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, excellent academic credentials, superior writing and communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to client service and professional excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Defend employers in a broad range of labor and employment litigation matters.
• Handle single-plaintiff employment claims from inception through resolution.
• Participate in class action and collective action litigation.
• Defend claims involving:
• Discrimination
• Harassment
• Retaliation
• Wrongful termination
• Wage and hour violations
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses.
• Assist with discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with partners and clients on litigation strategy and case management.
• Provide high-quality client service and practical legal solutions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• 3 to 4 years of labor and employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling employment-related disputes, including:
• Single-plaintiff employment matters
• Class actions
• Collective actions
• Discrimination claims
• Harassment claims
• Retaliation claims
• Wrongful termination matters
• Wage and hour litigation
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in California.
• Strong academic credentials with a record of achievement.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to client service.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $260,000 to $295,000 , depending on relevant years of experience.

Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, skills, and other relevant factors.
