Laboratory assistant

Perform standard soil tests, including:

• Moisture Content
• Atterberg Limits (Liquid Limit, Plastic Limit)
• Particle Size Distribution (Sieve Analysis & Hydrometer Test)
• Assist in the preparation and handling of soil samples: labeling, weighing, drying, and organizing for testing.
• Carry and transport soil samples within the lab
• Record and organize test results accurately in lab forms
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab equipment and workspace.

Working Conditions:

• This is a physically active and hands-on role that requires working with natural soil materials.
• The working environment involves exposure to soil dust and sample residue, which can be messy.
• Protective equipment (gloves, mask, lab coat, etc.) will be provided.
• Training Provided.
