Laboratory Assistant I - Pediatrics

Role: Laboratory Assistant I in the Laboratory of Membrane Biology, supporting experiments involving Helicobacter pylori.

Responsibilities: Prepare solutions, clean glassware, order supplies, maintain bacterial and cell cultures, work with small animal models and human tissues, perform experiments, and collect and catalog data. Collaborate closely with medical and research professionals.

Qualifications & Skills: Ability to accurately interpret and enter data, proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet use, basic organizational skills, and technical techniques relevant to scientific research. Must establish professional relations and work a flexible schedule including 10am-7pm shifts.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.

Additional info: Employment is limited with potential for conversion; salary ranges from $27.04 to $32.31 hourly. Final candidates must disclose any misconduct decisions within the last seven years. Current or former UC employees will undergo personnel file review.
