Laboratory Assistant Trainee

Institution : GIFT Autonomous, Bhubaneswar, a College of Repute imparting Diploma, B.Tech, M.Sc, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, PhD, BBA, BCA. Students are mainly from Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

· Position: Laboratory Assistant Trainee

· Training Period: 2 months

· Vacancy: 10

· Salary:

o During Training Period: 7000/- with Free accommodation will be provided ( if available )

o After Training Period: 9000/- only

· Eligibility:

o Qualification: B.Sc / B.Tech

o Experience: 1-2 years in laboratory handling, equipment maintenance, or technical support (freshers may also be considered)

o Language: Good communication skills in Odia, Hindi & English

o Skills & Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of laboratory instruments and procedures.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to assist students and faculty effectively.
• Awareness of safety standards and emergency procedures.
• Teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

· Laboratory Setup & Maintenance

• Prepare labs for practical sessions and demonstrations.

• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of laboratory spaces.

• Ensure proper storage and labeling of chemicals, tools, and equipment.

· Equipment Handling & Support

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments.

• Assist faculty and students during experiments.

• Report malfunctioning equipment and coordinate repairs.

· Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety protocols and ensure students adhere to lab rules.

• Maintain records of chemicals, consumables, and equipment usage.

• Support compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.

· Academic Assistance

• Assist in conducting laboratory assessments and evaluations.

· Inventory & Documentation

• Maintain stock registers for consumables and equipment.

• Prepare requisitions for new materials and supplies.

• Submit periodic reports to the department head.
