Laboratory Informatics Specialist

Key Purpose

Support the implementation, integration, and maintenance of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and middleware solutions across Singapore and Asia Pacific, ensuring successful project delivery, system performance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, test, and maintain LIS and middleware solutions.
• Work with customers to understand laboratory workflows and recommend suitable system solutions.
• Perform system integration, interface testing, and validation activities.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for customers and business partners.
• Conduct user training, system demonstrations, and software upgrades.
• Support preventive maintenance and system optimization activities.
• Collaborate with regional teams and distributors on project implementations.
• Maintain accurate project and system documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in clinical laboratories, laboratory diagnostics, biomedical engineering, laboratory informatics, or healthcare technology environments.
• Understanding of laboratory workflows and operations.
• Experience with LIS, middleware, laboratory automation, HL7 interfacing, or healthcare software solutions is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer engagement skills.
• Comfortable conducting user training and system demonstrations.
• Willing to travel regionally (approximately 10%-20%).
• Willing to participate in a rotational 24/7 standby support roster.

Medical Technologists with strong laboratory experience and an interest in healthcare informatics are welcome to apply. Prior IT experience is not mandatory as training will be provided.
