Location: Princeton, NJ

Job Type: Contract (4 Months)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Arrangement: On-site

Pay rate: $29 - 31.33/hr.

Potential for Permanent Hire: Yes, with an estimated salary of $80,000 upon conversion.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented LIS Coordinator to support laboratory operations at a research and development facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating schedules, working independently, and ensuring laboratory activities run smoothly while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.

This is a hands-on, on-site position that involves frequent walking throughout the facility and regular interaction with engineers, laboratory staff, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate laboratory equipment installation, maintenance, calibration, and relocation services.
• Escort engineers and vendors into controlled laboratory environments while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Schedule service appointments and coordinate with laboratory personnel and third-party vendors.
• Confirm service schedules with equipment owners and maintain records in a CMMS system.
• Escort vendors out of the facility upon completion of work.
• Review and organize documentation for inspections and audits.
• Support training activities and maintain compliance records.
• Prepare laboratory equipment for daily use and ensure availability for scientific staff.
• Replenish laboratory solvents and supplies as needed.
• Follow established procedures while maintaining accurate records and delivering high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-focused with the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and see tasks through to completion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Basic mathematical and administrative skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working in pharmaceutical, laboratory, or other controlled-access environments.
