Laboratory Manager - Ready-Mix Concrete

We’re Hiring: Laboratory Manager | Ready-Mix Concrete | Dubai, UAE

Our client, a ready-mix concrete company based in Dubai, is looking for an experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee laboratory operations, ensure concrete quality, and maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily laboratory operations and supervise laboratory technicians and quality control personnel.
• Oversee testing of fresh and hardened concrete, cement, aggregates, and other construction materials.
• Ensure concrete mixes meet approved mix designs, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Develop, review, and optimize concrete mix designs to meet performance and strength requirements.
• Monitor quality control procedures, test results, and laboratory documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ASTM, BS, EN, and relevant local standards.
• Coordinate with production, batching plant, site teams, consultants, and clients on quality-related matters.
• Investigate concrete quality issues, non-conformities, and customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records, testing procedures, and safety standards.
• Prepare quality reports and support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a laboratory management or senior quality control role within the ready-mix concrete industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of concrete technology, mix design, material testing, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with ASTM, BS, EN, and relevant UAE construction standards.
• Experience managing laboratory teams and coordinating with batching plant operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and reporting skills.
• Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED10,001.00 per month
