Laboratory Specimen Processor

Role Overview: The Specimen Processor is responsible for receiving, preparing, and processing clinical specimens in a laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and input specimen and patient data into laboratory systems
• Monitor and perform routine maintenance on lab equipment
• Troubleshoot specimen issues and maintain a clean work environment
• Complete administrative logs and ensure compliance with standard procedures

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfort handling biological specimens with accurate identification
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Ability to pass a color blindness test
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and multitasking skills
• Physical ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: $17.75 - $18.50 per hour
