Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:

The Lab Technician provides laboratory and testing support to the R&D Engineer by assisting in sample preparation, product testing, raw material evaluation, documentation, and laboratory housekeeping, helping ensure that product development and quality evaluation activities are carried out accurately, safely, and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation, testing, and evaluation of product samples, trial batches, and raw materials for research and development activities.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests and record results accurately in accordance with company procedures and instructions from the R&D Engineer.
• Prepare materials, tools, equipment, and test set-ups needed for product development, reformulation, and quality evaluation.
• Support the R&D Engineer in formulation trials, sample preparation, product performance checks, and laboratory experiments.
• Monitor and maintain proper labeling, storage, and identification of raw materials, retained samples, and laboratory trial products.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and proper housekeeping of the laboratory at all times.
• Ensure proper use, handling, and basic maintenance of laboratory tools, equipment, and measuring devices.
• Assist in the preparation of technical records, test results, sample logs, and other laboratory documents.
• Coordinate with the Production Department for sample runs, material requests, and trial batch support, as instructed.
• Follow laboratory safety rules, chemical handling procedures, and company policies at all times.

Job Qualifications:

·        At least a graduate of a technical, vocational, or college-level course related to Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or other related field.

·        Preferably with experience in laboratory work, product testing, quality control, or manufacturing support.

·        Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures, material handling, testing methods, and sample preparation.

·        Able to follow instructions carefully and work accurately with attention to detail.

·        Good documentation and record-keeping skills.

·        Capable of handling laboratory materials and equipment.

·        Knowledge of laboratory safety and good housekeeping practices is preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Location: Plant-based (San Simon, Pampanga)
• STAY-IN or STAY-OUT; staff house will be provided for stay-in employees.
• The role is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, noise, and heat.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
• Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday: 7 A.M.-4 P.M.
