Laboratory Technician

About the company/role:
We are currently recruiting for a Food Laboratory Technician to work with an iconic Australian-owned juice manufacturer based in the Western Suburbs. It is a casual, full-time position that follows a rotating shift pattern across day shift, afternoon shift and night shift. This role is ideal for a Food Science graduate who is eager to gain experience with a leading beverage manufacturer.
 
Duties:

• Chemical and microbial analysis of beverage samples
• Interpreting results and positively releasing batches
• Sensory evaluation of beverage samples
• Calibration of laboratory equipment
• Ensure highest levels of HACCP and GMP
• Following and improving cleaning & sanitation programs

Skills & Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline
• Experience in a food/beverage laboratory environment is highly regarded
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is beneficial
• Good understanding of quality standards and HACCP
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong computer skills, MS Word/Excel
• Excellent eye for detail and accuracy skills
