Laboratory Technician

About the role

Perform laboratory tests and ensure all testing is conducted in accordance with prescribed standards. Handle, calibrate, and maintain standard laboratory instruments and tools while maintaining quality records and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests
• Handle, calibrate, and maintain standard laboratory instruments and tools
• Ensure that all tests performed are in accordance with prescribed standards
• Prepare and seek approval of test results
• Release test results on time
• Initiate actions to prevent or minimize non-conformance in the implementation of laboratory policies and procedures
• Ensure that tools and equipment are in good condition, properly stored and handled
• Maintain and assure all test equipment and measuring devices are properly calibrated and maintained
• Acts as Approved Signatory to PAB Accredited Tests
• Maintain all Quality Records and Documents of the Laboratory

Qualifications:

• Engineering Graduate
• At least 3 years of work experience in related field
• Administratively efficient
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Computer literate
• Able to meet and resolve problems under pressure
